Accountant (UK/USA Operations)

Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Accountant with 2–3 years of experience to support the day-to-day accounting operations for our UK and USA entities. The ideal candidate should have a solid foundation in bookkeeping, familiarity with IFRS & GAAP principles, and hands-on experience with accounting software such as Xero.

The candidate should be proactive, organized, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Key Skills & Requirements

• Strong English communication skills (written and verbal)
• Working knowledge of IFRS & GAAP principles
• Hands-on experience with Xero Accounting Software
• Good understanding of bookkeeping and accounting fundamentals
• Ability to manage multiple tasks with accuracy and attention to detail
• Self-motivated, organized, and analytical mindset
• Strong time management and ability to meet deadlines
• Team player with a collaborative approach
• Minimum 2–3 years of relevant experience, preferably with UK or USA-based companies
• ACCA (Part-qualified or finalist) – preference for candidates with UK modules

Key Responsibilities

• Record and maintain accurate financial transactions (receipts, payments, expenses)
• Perform bank reconciliations regularly
• Assist in invoicing and credit control processes
• Maintain proper documentation for expenses, payables, and staff reimbursements
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities
• Assist in preparation of management accounts and financial reports
• Work on bookkeeping tasks using Xero
• Assist in preparation of statutory accounts and supporting schedules
• Basic understanding and support in tax-related matters (VAT, Income Tax, etc.)
• Monitor expenses and support cost-control initiatives
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure compliance and accuracy in reporting
• Provide support in revenue and expense tracking and projections

Working Hours

• Must be able to work UK office hours (01:00 PM – 10:00 PM Pakistan Time)
