Accountant/Bookkeeper

Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Accountant to join our finance team, committed to delivering accurate financial data and supporting our organization’s growth. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work across various accounting functions, including financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and internal controls. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical accounting skills, a passion for financial analysis, and the ability to mentor team members while maintaining high standards of accuracy and integrity.

Duties

• Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and regulatory standards.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely processing of invoices, payments, and collections.
• Perform bank reconciliations and cash flow analysis to monitor liquidity and financial health.
• Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and supporting schedules.
• Maintain accurate journal entries, account reconciliation records, and detailed audit trails using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or PeopleSoft.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, PeopleSoft or similar platforms.
• Strong knowledge of double entry bookkeeping principles, debits & credits, journal entries, and account reconciliation processes.
• Ability to mentor team members effectively while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong technical skills in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and report generation; familiarity with Quicken is a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $27,040.00 - $27,041.00 per year
