Accountant/Bookkeeper

Concrete Driveway looking for a forward thinking and meticulously organized Accountant/Bookkeeper to join our growing team! The primary responsibility for this individual will be preparing and maintaining financial records to track the organization’s financial activities. This position will report to the Financial Controller and the pay range offered is $60,000 - $65,000 based on experience. What you’ll be doing:

Assist preparing monthly balance sheets, income statements, and various reporting as assigned.
Maintains Accounts Payable for the organization.
Codes invoices, sets up new accounts, reconciles accounts, and assists with monthly closing and journal entries.
Reconciles bank accounts at least monthly, verifies deposits, and addresses inquiries from banks.
Reconciles cash disbursement accounts, customer accounts, and other financial accounts; manages accounts receivable collections.
Verifies and/or completes payment of invoices associated with accounts payable and ensures payments are charged to the appropriate accounts and in a timely manner.
Manages and distributes Year End 1099 processes.
Manages the expense reimbursement and invoicing processes.
Maintains knowledge of acceptable accounting practices and procedures.
Performs other related duties as assigned.

We’d be thrilled if you have:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field
1-3 years of related experience
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent organizational skills and high attention to detail.
Knowledge of general financial accounting and cost accounting.
Understanding of and the ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (emphasis in Excel), QuickBooks, and quick to learn and navigating other software programs.
