Full Time Position / Accountant / Automotive Accountant

We are now accepting applications for an ACCOUNTANT/CPA. We are searching for a teammate with strong time-management and organizational skills.

Accountant - Job Description:

The Accountant processes and generates financial data to create an accurate report of the financial condition of the business. This position reports directly to the Controller and requires working closely with the General Manager, Finance Manager, and Sales Managers. You will be responsible for the accounting office and administrative functions.

Job Responsibilities:

• Daily bank reconciliations; incentive collections and reconciliations
• Finalize and record deals in the General Ledger
• Prepare timely paperwork for dealer trades
• Knowledgeable with HR compliance, onboarding, workers compensation
• Payroll processing, quarterly payroll tax returns and I-9 Compliance
• Expense control support
• Financial floor plan reconciliations
• Assist the year end auditors
• Prepare sales tax returns
• Post end-of-month workbooks
• Finalize unit counts monthly
• Prepare reports and occasionally attend meetings with upper management
• Other duties may be assigned

Job Requirements:

• Must be a team-player and develop strong relationships with all team members.
• Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
• Must have strong communication skills.
• Must be able to manage and enforce policies set in place and hold themselves to the highest ethical standards.
• Bachelor or Associates Degree in accounting.
• CPA is preferred.
• Experience in the automotive industry is preferred, but not required.
