The Accounts Executive will be responsible for handling the day-to-day accounting functions, statutory compliance, and financial reporting of the organization. The role demands strong knowledge of Tally, GST, TDS, and trust-related accounting. The individual will also assist in administrative coordination and ensure smooth financial operations in line with organizational policies.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Accounting & Bookkeeping
- Maintain and update all accounting records in Tally on a daily basis.
- Prepare and post journal entries, reconciliations, and adjustments.
- Handle accounts payable and receivable, expense tracking, and petty cash.
- Ensure timely closure of monthly and annual books of accounts.
2. Statutory Compliance (TDS, GST, etc.)
- Prepare and file GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, and annual returns).
- Ensure proper reconciliation of GSTR-2B with purchase registers.
- Calculate and file TDS returns; ensure timely payment and certificate issuance.
- Assist in audits and ensure compliance with Income Tax, PF, and ESI regulations.
3. Trust Accounting & Reporting
- Maintain trust-related books of accounts and prepare utilization reports.
- Handle donations, grants, and fund utilization accounting as per trust norms.
- Coordinate with auditors for preparation of trust-related financial statements.
4. Banking & Financial Management
- Prepare bank reconciliation statements and monitor cash/bank balances.
- Process vendor payments, staff reimbursements, and advances.
- Maintain records of receipts, vouchers, and other financial documents.
5. Administrative & Inventory Support
- Maintain inventory and coordinate with suppliers for procurement and restocking.
- Manage staff attendance, leave records, and related administrative data.
- Provide support in general office administration and documentation.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce / Accounting / Finance.
- Minimum 2–4 years of experience in accounting and compliance.
- Proficiency in Tally ERP / Tally Prime, MS Excel, and basic MIS reporting.
- Sound knowledge of GST, TDS, Trust Accounting, and general ledger management.
- Attention to detail, integrity, and ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in accounting for Trusts / NGOs will be an added advantage.
- Knowledge of statutory audit procedures and compliance documentation.
