Position Summary
The Client Accounting & Advisory Services (CAAS) staff consultant provides outsourced accounting, financial reporting, and advisory support to a portfolio of clients across various industries. This role partners closely with clients to deliver accurate financial information, improve accounting processes, and provide insights that support informed business decisions.
Key Responsibilities
Client Accounting Services
- Manage accounting activities for assigned clients, including:
- General ledger maintenance
- Monthly and year-end close
- Bank and credit card reconciliations
- Accounts payable and accounts receivable oversight
- Journal entry preparation
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
Advisory & Client Support
- Serve as a primary point of contact for client accounting needs
- Provide financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow insights
- Assist clients with accounting system setup, conversions, and process improvements
- Identify opportunities to add value through advisory services
- Collaborate with tax and audit teams to support compliance and planning
Technology & Process Improvement
- Utilize and support cloud-based accounting platforms (e.g., QuickBooks Online, Bill.com, Fathom & Jirav)
- Leverage workflow, reporting, and automation tools to improve efficiency
- Document and improve client accounting processes and internal controls
- Leverage automation and AI-enabled tools to streamline accounting workflows, reconciliations, and reporting
Quality & Compliance
- Ensure timely and accurate delivery of client deliverables
- Maintain proper documentation and workpapers
- Adhere to firm policies, deadlines, and professional standards
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
- 2+ years of accounting experience (public accounting or outsourced accounting preferred)
- Strong accounting and analytical skills
- Proficiency with Quickbooks preferred and Microsoft Excel
- Excellent communication and client service skills

Pay: From $26.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 – 50.0 per week
