Accounting Analyst

Bentonville, United States

We’re not just balancing books—we’re fueling stories.

At The Compton, numbers tell more than a financial story—they reveal the rhythm of our hotel’s daily life.

As an Accounting Analyst, you’ll help keep that rhythm steady by ensuring accuracy, clarity, and accountability across our financial operations. From daily reconciliations to detailed reporting, your work makes sure every department has the solid foundation it needs to thrive.

Just as our front desk welcomes guests into the story of the Ozarks, your role ensures that the behind-the-scenes narrative is just as thoughtful and well cared for. With a keen eye for detail and a collaborative spirit, you’ll partner with team leaders to track expenses, monitor revenue, and safeguard the integrity of our financial picture.

At The Compton, your contribution goes beyond balance sheets. You’ll be part of a team rooted in community, dedicated to excellence, and inspired by the natural and cultural legacy of Bentonville.

What You’ll Be Responsible For:
  • Oversee the day-to-day accounting functions for General Cashiering, Income Journal, and Group Billing.

  • Collect, balance, and prepare daily cash for deposit—reporting any variances with clarity and urgency.

  • Perform daily House Bank counts with accuracy and integrity.

  • Prepare, balance, and distribute the Daily Revenue Report.

  • Collect group deposits and collaborate with Sales to ensure proper billing, including any necessary adjustments.

  • Execute billing to clients, and maintain accurate records for bank audits and contracts.

  • Review and verify all daily voids, vouchers, and allowances.

  • Manage mail collection and distribution to A/P and department leaders.

  • Be ready to jump in on any additional tasks that help the team win.

What You Bring to the Table:
  • 1–3 years of experience with General Ledger, Journal Entries, and a supervisory lens.

  • A strong command of Excel (think pivot tables, VLOOKUPs—not just formatting).

  • Next-level analytical skills. You don’t just find errors—you solve the mystery behind them.

  • A heart for accuracy, a head for process, and hands that hustle.

  • Experience working across departments and understanding the full flow of hospitality revenue is a plus.

Bonus If You:
  • See numbers as stories and know how to read between the lines.

  • Thrive in a collaborative environment but can also self-start and self-manage.

  • Bring a spirit of accountability and curiosity to everything you do.
