Accounting Analyst

Description:

The Accounting Analyst will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, assisting with month-end close, supporting cost accounting functions, and providing analysis that helps management make data-driven decisions. This role requires attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work closely with both the accounting and operations teams.

Requirements:

• Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and reporting.
• Perform detailed cost accounting, including tracking direct and indirect costs, labor, and overhead allocations.
• Analyze variances between standard and actual costs; provide insight and recommendations to leadership.
• Prepare financial reports and dashboards for management review.
• Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Monitor accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries for accuracy.
• Partner with operations to identify process inefficiencies and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Assist with audits, compliance requirements, and special projects as needed.
• Serve as a backup to the Accounting Assistant, covering day-to-day tasks such as invoicing, vendor payments, cash applications, and routine data entry when needed
