Paragon Micro is seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Accounting Analyst to join our dynamic team. This role goes beyond traditional accounting—it's about leveraging financial data to uncover opportunities, optimize performance, and drive smarter operating and financial decisions.

As an Accounting Analyst, you will be instrumental in analyzing financial performance, identifying rebate opportunities, and ensuring accuracy across vendor programs and marketing investments. You’ll collaborate cross-functionally with sales, marketing, IT, and vendor partners to ensure Paragon Micro is maximizing every dollar spent and earned.

What You Will Do

As an Account Analyst you will cultivate strong relationships with both internal stakeholders and external partners. You will play a key role in identifying process improvements, resolving discrepancies, and providing meaningful insights through data analysis—ultimately contributing to departmental and organizational goals.

Financial Analysis & Strategy

• Analyze financial data to identify trends and opportunities.
• Provide actionable insights and recommendations to leadership based on financial performance and forecasting.
• Develop financial models to support long-term planning and scenario analysis.

Vendor Relationship & Rebate Optimization

• Build and maintain vendor scorecards to assess performance, cost-effectiveness, and rebate potential.
• Track and report on all vendor rebates, savings, and program participation.
• Identify and pursue rebate opportunities through data analysis and vendor collaboration.

Marketing Spend Oversight

• Evaluate marketing and advertising expenditures to ensure ROI.
• Recommend strategies to offset spend through tech partner funding or alternative revenue streams.
• Monitor financial impact of marketing investments and report findings to leadership.

Accounting Analysis & Reporting

• Perform variance analysis and provide insights as to drivers and recommendations to improve performance.
• Analyze financial data to identify trends, risks and opportunities.
• Support month-end and year-end close processes.
• Assist with audit requests.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Partner with department heads to promote financial discipline and ensure compliance.
• Lead financial reviews to identify savings and improvement opportunities.
• Present findings and updates to leadership and committees.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in financial analysis, accounting, or vendor management.
• Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel and forecasting tools.
• Experience with vendor negotiations, rebate tracking, and procure-to-pay processes.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills; able to interact across all levels.
• High attention to detail, ethical standards, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Preferred: Experience with ERP systems like NetSuite, especially financial planning modules.

Compensation Philosophy at Paragon Micro

At Paragon Micro, we offer a base salary range of $65,000 to $90,000 annually, complemented by an annual bonus, paid quarterly. This range reflects the diverse levels of expertise and experiences we seek in our candidates and is intended to provide a general framework—not a guarantee of placement within the range.

Importantly, this base salary and bonus structure does not represent the full scope of our total compensation package, which includes a comprehensive benefits offering, 401(k) retirement plan, and additional performance incentives.

The final compensation offer will be determined based on your unique qualifications, including relevant experience, skills, and the value you bring to the role. We take a thoughtful, equitable approach to compensation, ensuring each offer is competitive and aligned with both market standards and individual contributions.
