We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. Responsibilities

• Maintain and update financial records, including accounts payable and receivable
• Prepare and post journal entries to ensure accurate financial reporting
• Conduct bank reconciliations to verify account balances and resolve discrepancies
• Assist in budgeting processes and provide insights on financial performance
• Generate and analyze financial reports for management review
• Ensure compliance with governmental accounting standards and regulations
• Utilize software such as Quicken for efficient financial management
• Collaborate with public accounting firms as necessary for audits or tax preparation

Experience

• Proven experience in bookkeeping or a related field
• Strong knowledge of budgeting, financial concepts, and governmental accounting practices
• Proficiency in accounting software, particularly Quicken, is preferred
• Familiarity with journal entries, bank reconciliation processes, and accounts payable functions
• Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
