We empower businesses to build secure and scalable payment experiences without the need for complex in-house development. We are seeking a meticulous and organized Accounting Assistant to join our growing finance team. This is a full-time/part-time position for a proactive individual who will play a crucial role in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our financial operations, contributing directly to our company's success. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, eager to learn, and thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

 

  • Assist with the day-to-day management of financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable.
  • Process invoices, expense claims, and payment runs in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Perform regular bank and account reconciliations to ensure the accuracy of financial records.
  • Support the finance team with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
  • Maintain and update financial data in our accounting systems with a high degree of precision.
  • Help prepare financial reports, summaries, and statements for management review.
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
  • Liaise with internal departments and external partners to resolve financial queries.

Qualifications

 

  • Proven experience working as an Accounting Assistant or in a similar financial role.
  • A solid understanding of fundamental accounting principles and practices.
  • Excellent numerical skills and an exceptional eye for detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly with MS Excel and spreadsheet management.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Discretion and the ability to handle confidential information with professionalism.
  • Experience with accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks) is highly desirable.
  • Previous experience within a fintech or technology company would be an advantage.
