Accounting Assistant

<Job Summary>
Join our dynamic team as an Accounting Assistant, where your enthusiasm and attention to detail will support our organization’s growth. In this role, you will assist the accounting manager ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.

This position offers an exciting opportunity to work 80% remotely (we will provide a computer, keyboard, monitor and printer). It is the perfect position for someone with strong data entry skills, basic accounting knowledge and good attention to detail. You must be able to work independently and have proven ability to work consistently and efficiently in a remote setting.

The hours are flexible. You set your own schedule, which must be fairly consistent and adhered to. This would be perfect opportunity for someone who recently retired and is seeking a part-time position, or a stay-at-home mom or caregiver looking for an opportunity to fill in employment gaps while taking a break from a full-time position.

<Duties>

• Perform data entry and account analysis to ensure precise recording of financial transactions utilizing QuickBooks and QuickBooks Online.
• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including invoice processing, payment reconciliation, and vendor communication.
• Proven experience with QuickBooks, and QuickBooks Online.
• Basic understanding of financial concepts including debits & credits and double entry accounting.
• Excellent data entry skills with high accuracy (10 key typing proficiency) and attention to detail.
• Assist Accounting Manager with file management and special projects as necessary.
• Willing to jump right in and assist with a backlog of work.
• Strong analytical skills combined with effective communication abilities; ability to work independently while supporting team objectives.

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
