Accounting Assistant

We are seeking a skilled, part-time Accounting Assistant to join our team to assist in performing a variety of accounting, bookkeeping, and clerical tasks.

This individual will assist with both clerical and administrative tasks as directed by the Office Manager. In general, he or she will take care of basic office tasks that involve bookkeeping, reporting, payables and receivables, research, documentation, and resolution assistance, and will include a variety of tasks performed for an accurate and smooth accounting workflow.

In part, the role will include responsibilities in keeping financial records updated, preparing reports, plus entering and fine-checking aspects of data entry. It will be important to have the ability for fact-checking our vendors, subs, contracts, and agreements, and in the onboarding of some new affiliates.

The right candidate will possess the ability to process business transactions, accounts payable and receivable, disbursements, expense vouchers, and receipts.

Responsibilities May Include:

· Provide accounting and clerical support as directed

· Account Payable Processes and Input

· Research, track, and restore accounting or documentation problems and discrepancies

· Inform management and compile reports/summaries on activity areas

· Effectively communicate directly with subs, vendors, and clients as needed

· Matching Invoices to purchase orders and packing slips

· Maintain accounting records and filing documents

· Processing accounts payable and accounts receivable

Looking for an individual with skills like these;

· Accounting abilities or experience

· Working knowledge of bookkeeping and basic accounting procedures/software

· Some Experience with Quickbooks Desktop

· Experience with Microsoft Excel, and Google Sheets

· Some ability with spreadsheets and financial reports

· Accuracy and attention to detail with an aptitude for numbers

· Ability to perform filing and detailed record-keeping tasks

· Well organized

· Able to quickly adapt to and learn new software

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour

  • QuickBooks Desktop: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Bookkeeping: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Accounting: 1 year (Preferred)
