Job Type: Full-time, 40 hours per week. On-site with the ability to travel to satellite clinics as required.

General Purpose of Job/Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Accounting Assistant to support our Finance team. This role is responsible for assisting with day-to-day accounting functions, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring timely processing of transactions. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced healthcare environment with multiple entities and locations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoice entry, payment processing, and follow-up.
  • Reconcile bank statements, credit card transactions, and general ledger accounts.
  • Support month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and documentation in compliance with company policies.
  • Assist with payroll-related reporting and audits as needed.
  • Prepare and update financial spreadsheets, reports, and summaries.
  • Communicate with vendors and internal teams to resolve discrepancies.
  • Support audits and provide documentation as requested.
  • Assist with special projects and process improvement initiatives within the Finance department.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
  • Minimum of 1–2 years of relevant accounting or finance experience required.
  • Experience in healthcare or multi-entity environments preferred.

Required Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and general accounting software (experience with ADP or similar systems a plus).
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
  • Maintains confidentiality and adheres to HIPAA and company policies.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
