Accounting Assistant

Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Assistant to join our team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to support our finance and administrative departments by managing various clerical and accounting tasks. The ideal candidate will have strong computer skills, experience with office management, and excellent customer service abilities. Bilingual skills are a plus to effectively communicate with diverse clients and team members. Responsibilities

  • Assist with bookkeeping and data entry using QuickBooks and other accounting software
  • Manage front desk duties, including greeting visitors and handling multi-line phone systems
  • Support office management tasks such as filing, proofreading, and document organization
  • Provide customer support through phone etiquette, email correspondence, and in-person interactions
  • Maintain accurate records of financial transactions and perform basic bookkeeping functions
  • Schedule appointments, manage calendars, and coordinate meetings using Google Workspace and Microsoft Office tools
  • Support administrative functions including typing, filing, and organizing office supplies
  • Assist with medical or dental receptionist duties if applicable, including patient or client check-in
  • Perform general clerical tasks such as photocopying, scanning, and data entry to ensure smooth office operations

Requirements

  • Proven experience in office management, clerical work, or administrative support
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), and Google Workspace applications
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
  • Excellent typing speed and accuracy along with proofreading skills
  • Experience with multi-line phone systems and phone etiquette
  • Bilingual abilities are preferred to enhance communication with diverse clients
  • Previous experience in customer service or customer support roles is highly desirable
  • Knowledge of office procedures such as filing, data entry, calendar management, and record keeping
  • Strong computer literacy and familiarity with office equipment
  • Ability to handle confidential information discreetly and professionally

Pay: From $35,000.00 per year
