Minnkota Power Cooperative is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented student for an
Accounting Assistant Intern
to join our team for the
summer of 2026
. The internship, located at our Grand Forks, ND offices, offers hands-on experience supporting the Financial Services department in a professional environment.
The pay range for this internship begins at
$15.30
per hour. Appropriate pay will be determined based on a candidate’s level of completed education and relevant experience. This is a temporary, non-benefited position.
Position Summary
The Accounting Assistant Intern position reports to the Financial Services Supervisor. This role will support the finance team by performing essential accounts payable functions, with a primary focus on accurate and timely invoice entry. This role is responsible for:

Processing vendor invoices

Verifying data for completeness and accuracy

Ensuring proper coding in accordance with company policies

Assisting in maintaining organized financial records

Supporting month-end close activities
-
Communicating with internal departments and external vendors as needed
