Job Title: Accounting Assistant – Payables

Reports To: Assistant Accounting Manager / Finance Manager

Job Summary:

The Accounting Assistant – Payables supports the accounts payable function by ensuring timely and accurate processing of vendor invoices, payments, and reconciliations. This role helps maintain strong relationships with vendors while ensuring compliance with company policies and financial controls.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review, verify, and process vendor invoices for payment in accordance with company policies.
• Prepare and schedule payments to vendors (checks, bank transfers, or other methods).
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies or outstanding issues.
• Maintain accurate and organized accounts payable records and supporting documentation.
• Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Respond to vendor inquiries regarding payment status professionally and promptly.
• Monitor and track accounts payable aging reports.
• Support audits by preparing necessary documentation for accounts payable.
• Collaborate with other accounting team members to improve processes and internal controls.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
• 1–2 years of experience in accounts payable, bookkeeping, or general accounting; experience in the UAE is a plus. Freshers are also welcome to apply.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, QuickBooks, Oracle, Tally) and MS Excel.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in processing payments.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Understanding of basic accounting principles and internal controls.
