Job Title: Accounting Assistant – Receivables

Reports To: Assistant Accounting Manager/Finance Manager
Job Summary:
The Accounting Assistant – Receivables is responsible for supporting the accounts receivable function by ensuring timely and accurate processing of customer invoices, collections, and account reconciliations. The role assists in maintaining accurate financial records and contributes to the efficiency of the finance team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and issue customer invoices in accordance with company policies.
- Monitor accounts receivable aging and follow up on overdue payments.
- Record and post incoming payments accurately in the accounting system.
- Reconcile customer accounts and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Maintain organized records of all transactions and supporting documentation.
- Provide reports on receivables, cash collections, and outstanding balances as needed.
- Communicate professionally with sales team regarding customer’s billing inquiries and payment status.
- Support audits by preparing necessary documentation for accounts receivable.
- Collaborate with other accounting team members to improve processes and resolve issues.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
- 1–2 years of experience in accounts receivable, bookkeeping, or general accounting; experience in the UAE is a plus. Freshers are also welcome to apply.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, QuickBooks, Oracle, Tally) and MS Excel.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles and practices.
