The Accounting Associate is responsible for supporting the accounting and finance team by performing day-to-day financial tasks that ensure accurate record-keeping and compliance with company policies.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Review and reconcile vendor statements, vendor accounts, and credit card transactions, resolving any discrepancies in invoices, credits, or payments.

Perform online marketplace payment reconciliations and ensure payments are properly applied correctly. Resolve payment discrepancies.

Reconcile bank accounts to ensure alignment with the general ledger.

Reconcile undeposited funds accounts and investigate any outstanding balances or discrepancies.

Reconcile clearing accounts to ensure all transactions are accurately recorded and properly allocated.

Maintain accurate documentation and tracking systems to ensure all reconciliations, transactions, and accounting tasks are completed and reported.

Perform month and year-end closing processes, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely completion in accordance with deadlines.

Process approvals for various expenses reports, bills, payments and other transactions

Support the accounting team with additional projects and financial record maintenance as needed.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

A high school diploma or GED equivalent.

Previous experience in a bookkeeping or accounting role.

Previous work experience entering a high volume of transactions accurately.

Basic knowledge and experience with Microsoft Excel, with moderate knowledge preferred.

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers and decimals.

Detailed oriented with an eye for accuracy.

Ability to work independently and to adapt to a fast-changing environment.

Self-disciplined and capable of completing tasks independently and with a sense of urgency.

Accounting Associate degree a plus.
