Accounting Bookkeeper (Full-Time)
We are seeking a full-time bookkeeper who takes genuine pride in their work and can operate at a high level independently and in collaboration with upper management. This role requires strong professional judgment, discretion, and a high level of integrity.
Role Overview
The ideal candidate is adaptable, friendly, and professional, while maintaining appropriate boundaries with project coordination staff. This is not a highly social role. The bookkeeper must have demonstrated experience in payroll, tax processing, project accounting, and general accounting functions with a high degree of accuracy in an environment where QuickBooks was not the primary accounting software.
Candidates whose primary accounting experience is QuickBooks-based will not be considered.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage Project Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable using financial software and Microsoft Excel
- Prepare and process AIA billing and related lien documentation as required
- Process payroll through financial software
- Complete payroll-related tax filings on a quarterly and annual basis
- Handle operational Accounts Payable using financial software and Excel
- Prepare and submit month-end financial statements to management
- Prepare and submit year-end financial statements to management
- Consistently meet all processing deadlines while remaining mindful of management schedules and obligations
Technical & Systems Experience
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required
- Excel is used extensively and at an advanced level
- The ability to review existing spreadsheets and reproduce work using them as templates or SOPs is essential
- Candidates must be comfortable with complex formulas, shortcuts, and efficient spreadsheet navigation
- Experience limited to data entry or pivot tables is insufficient
- Candidates whose only spreadsheet experience is Google Sheets will not be considered
Compliance & Eligibility Requirements
- Must be a Notary, or willing and able to become a Notary
- Must pass a drug screening
- Must pass a background screening
- No thefts or fraud of any kind, regardless of date or level
- No felonies
- No crimes against children, the elderly, or family domestic assaults

Pay: $41,600.00 - $47,840.00 per year
