Are you a relationship builder with experience in accounting, bookkeeping, banking, consulting, insurance, or another professional service industry?

Pretty Books is looking for a Business Development Partner to help establish and grow our presence in the Phoenix market.

This is not a traditional sales role. We are not looking for cold callers or transactional salespeople. We are looking for someone who understands how professional services firms grow through referrals, trust, and long-term professional relationships.

Pretty Books provides strategic bookkeeping, accounting, and advisory services to owner-operated businesses throughout the United States.

Our firm has grown primarily through referrals and professional relationships, and we are now expanding into new markets using that same proven approach.

About the Role

As our Business Development Partner, you will represent Pretty Books within the Phoenix business community and help build referral relationships that generate qualified introductions and long-term growth opportunities.

This is a part-time role with an expected commitment of approximately 20 hours per month.

The role is 100% remote and offers flexibility in how you manage your schedule.

We are looking for someone with experience in accounting, bookkeeping, tax, finance, banking, consulting, or another professional service industry who understands accounting services and can confidently represent the Pretty Books brand.

In addition to market development activities, you will collaborate with firm leadership on business development, sales initiatives, marketing efforts, and market expansion strategies.

What You'll Do

• Attend networking events and business functions
• Build and maintain referral partnerships
• Schedule and conduct one-on-one meetings
• Identify sponsorship and community involvement opportunities
• Generate qualified introductions and referrals
• Represent Pretty Books professionally within the Phoenix market
• Collaborate with leadership on business development, sales, marketing, and growth initiatives

What You Bring

• Experience in accounting, bookkeeping, tax, finance, banking, consulting, or another professional service industry
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Experience developing referral partnerships and professional networks
• Existing involvement in the Phoenix business community
• Ability to work independently while collaborating closely with a remote team
• An entrepreneurial mindset and a genuine interest in helping businesses succeed

Compensation

This role is structured as a 1099 independent contractor position.

Compensation includes:

• A base monthly compensation for market development activities.
• A commission program for new clients you introduce that become successful Pretty Books clients.

Compensation details will be discussed with qualified candidates based on experience and market involvement.

Pay: $35.00 - $50.00 per hour
