Position Summary:
The Accounting Clerk is responsible for performing various accounting and financial support tasks.
Key Duties/Responsibilities:
- Expense report review and processing (Concur)
- AR customer check processing and posting
- Accounting Payable (AP) check review and routing
- Support day-to-day Accounts Receivable (AR) functions
- 1099 preparation and processing
- Adhoc reporting as needed
- Perform additional duties as requested or assigned
Education/Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary training in a related field is preferred
- 2+ years of relevant work experience required
- Concur experience preferred
- Excel experience preferred
Job Knowledge / Requirements:
- Familiarity with bookkeeping and basic accounting principles
- Proficiency in basic business math skills, including the ability to read and prepare data
- Competence in operating a 10-key calculator
- Critical success criteria include accuracy and attention to detail, an organized approach to work, effective time management, and commitment to confidentiality
- Computer skills: Proficiency in MS Office and Google applications
- Ability to work both independently and as an effective member of the team, adapting to changing requirements, deadlines, and priorities as needed
- Clear and professional communication skills through listening, speaking, and writing; maintaining professionalism and solutions-focused interactions with others, including customers
Physical Requirements / Working Conditions:
- General office positions may require some reaching, bending, stooping, squatting, crawling, kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting, and carrying up to 20 pounds, finger dexterity, repetitive motions, standing, walking, sitting, hearing, visual acuity, color vision, and two-way written/verbal communication.
