Due to our continued growth, we are seeking a qualified Accounting Clerk to join our expanding team.
The Accounting Clerk is responsible for providing administrative and clerical support to the accounting department. This role ensures accurate processing of financial transactions, maintaining records, and assisting with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and able to handle confidential financial information with integrity.
Key Responsibilities
- Process accounts payable (AP) invoices and prepare payments
- Post accounts receivable (AR) payments and manage tenant accounts
- Maintain accurate financial records and filing systems
- Work with Collections department to ensure payments are posted correctly
- Review/approve monthly maintenance invoices
- Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting procedures
- Assist with miscellaneous tasks to support the accounting team
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Accounting or related field preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or similar)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with ERP systems
- Prior experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable processing
