Bayard, P.A. is seeking an Accounting Clerk/Administrative Assistant with a minimum of 2 years of accounting and general office experience. The candidate must possess excellent organization, communication and project management skills.
DUTIES:
- Enter accounts payable invoices into system and follow up on payments if required
- Issue checks daily for business, client cost and escrow account
- Open and distribute administrative mail
- Research past due items on statements
- Process payments for invoices and allocate costs as appropriate
- Verify and record payments received
- Back up Receptionist phone coverage
- Proofreading/editing bills for attorneys
- Assist Firm Administrator and other members of the firm as needed
- Centerbase and iManage software knowledge a plus
REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum of 2 years of general office experience
- Accounting experience required
- Proficient with MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Ability to work independently
- Good problem solving skills
- Ability to maintain confidential information
