Position Summary
The Accounting Data Administrator provides essential operational and administrative support as a shared resource across both the Finance team and the People, Legal, and Compliance (PLC) function. This role is responsible for handling a wide range of clerical, organizational, and transactional tasks, enabling leaders and teams to remain focused on higher-level priorities. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, reliable, proactive, and comfortable managing routine but critical work with accuracy and professionalism in a remote environment.
Key Responsibilities
Shared Support Across Finance and PLC
Serve as a centralized administrative resource supporting both Finance and the People, Legal, and Compliance function.
Manage competing priorities across stakeholders with clear communication, appropriate urgency, and a service-oriented mindset.
Maintain confidentiality and discretion when handling sensitive financial, employee, legal, or compliance-related information.
Administrative & Clerical Support
Perform accurate and timely data entry across systems, spreadsheets, and internal tools.
Manage general office and administrative tasks, including document preparation, filing, record maintenance, and correspondence.
Support calendar coordination, meeting preparation, and follow-up tasks as assigned.
Maintain organized digital records and ensure information is up to date and easily accessible.
Accounting & Expense Support
Process expense reports, credit card reconciliations, and reimbursements in accordance with company policies.
Provide support with basic accounting-related tasks, such as invoice tracking, data validation, and expense categorization.
Coordinate with finance or accounting teams to resolve discrepancies or missing documentation.
Project & Task Coordination
Track assigned projects and action items, ensuring follow-through and timely completion.
Monitor routine projects by tracking progress, following up with stakeholders, and escalating issues when needed.
Assist with gathering information, preparing status updates, and maintaining task lists or trackers.
General Operational Support
Provide flexible support across both functions for routine operational needs.
Assist with ad hoc administrative tasks as business needs arise.
Uphold professionalism and responsiveness in a remote work environment.
Required Qualifications
Accounting or Finance degree.
Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy in process-driven work.
Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
Comfort working independently in a remote environment with minimal supervision.
Proficiency with common business tools (e.g., Google Workspace or Microsoft Office, spreadsheets, expense systems).
Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines.
Working Conditions
Fully remote role; must be available during US Working Hours: 7:30 PM - 3:30 AM IST
Prolonged periods of computer-based work.
Occasional deadline-driven workload fluctuations.
