As our client base expands, we are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting & Finance Associate to support the financial operations of the business and ensure accurate reporting, client billing, and financial processes.
Role Overview
The Accounting & Finance Associate will play a key role in managing day-to-day accounting operations and supporting financial reporting within a client-service agency environment. This role works closely with leadership, operations, and client teams to ensure accurate billing, revenue tracking, and financial visibility across projects and campaigns.
This position is ideal for someone with 2–5 years of accounting or finance experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and wants exposure to the financial side of a growing agency.
Key ResponsibilitiesAccounting Operations:
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Perform bank and credit card reconciliations
- Maintain accurate financial records within accounting systems
- Assist with monthly and quarterly close processes
- Prepare financial documentation and supporting schedules
Client Billing & Revenue Management
- Manage client invoicing for retainers, projects, and campaign services
- Track payments and follow up on outstanding invoices
- Ensure billing aligns with client contracts and scopes of work
- Maintain organized billing records and documentation
Agency Financial Operations
- Track project budgets, campaign spend, and vendor costs
- Support reporting on project profitability and client-level performance
- Assist in monitoring operational expenses, including media spend, marketing tools, and software subscriptions
- Help maintain accurate revenue tracking across client accounts
Financial Reporting & Analysis
- Assist in preparing monthly financial reports and internal dashboards
- Provide financial data to support leadership decision-making
- Support forecasting and budgeting initiatives
- Help identify financial trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement
Process Improvement & Compliance
- Maintain organized financial documentation for audits and tax preparation
- Work with external accountants during tax filings and reviews
- Help improve internal financial workflows, reporting systems, and billing processes
- Ensure compliance with company financial policies
QualificationsRequired
- 2–5 years of accounting, finance, or bookkeeping experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field
- Strong understanding of GAAP and core accounting principles
- Experience with accounting software (QuickBooks, NetSuite, Xero, or similar)
- Strong proficiency with Excel or Google Sheets
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Preferred
- Experience working with marketing agencies, consulting firms, or professional services businesses
- Familiarity with project-based accounting and client billing models
- Experience supporting financial reporting and month-end close
- Ability to analyze project costs and revenue for profitability insights
