JOB OVERVIEW:

Avotax is looking for motivated and detail-oriented Accounting Interns who are eager to learn and gain hands-on experience in accounting, bookkeeping, and taxation for Canadian and US clients. This internship is an excellent opportunity to build practical skills and start your professional accounting career.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist in bookkeeping for Canadian & US clients
• Support preparation of financial statements
• Help with tax filings for individuals and businesses
• Maintain records and organize financial data
• Assist senior accountants with daily accounting tasks

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:

• Students or fresh graduates (MBA / BBA / B.Com or equivalent)
• Basic knowledge of accounting principles
• Familiarity with MS Office (Excel preferred)
• Willingness to learn accounting software (QuickBooks & Caseware – training provided)
• Strong attention to detail and time management skills
