JOB SUMMARY


The Accounting Intern is a student or recent graduate looking to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced corporate environment. They will work with the accounting team to support both Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions, contribute to the overall accuracy of our financial records, and perform other administrative tasks as needed.


SUMMARY OF JOB DUTIES - Essential Functions (Other duties and projects may be assigned or requested.)

  • Assist AP/AR Clerks and Controller with daily tasks and functions.
  • Support day-to-day Accounts Payable tasks: match purchase orders, review and code invoices, prepare vendor payments, and assist with month-end accruals.
  • Support Accounts Receivable tasks: create and send customer invoices, apply payments, follow up on past-due accounts, and assist with collections.
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives to increase accuracy and efficiency.
  • Help maintain filing systems and organize documentation to support audit readiness.
  • Assisting with research, filing, data entry, and recording and maintaining accurate and complete financial records

GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS – Education, Knowledge, and Experience


Education:

  • Must either be a recent graduate or in the process of completing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.

Preferred Skills/Experience:

  • Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, basic formulas)
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.

Other:

  • Position may be filled with both entry level and experienced candidates.
