We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our CPA firm. This position is ideal for a first- or second-year accounting student who wants to gain real-world accounting experience while completing their degree.

You will work alongside experienced accountants and CPAs, assisting with bookkeeping, client records, tax preparation support, and administrative accounting tasks. This role provides valuable hands-on experience and an opportunity to develop skills that will prepare you for future accounting and CPA career opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Enter financial data into accounting software.
• Assist with bookkeeping and bank reconciliations in QuickBooks.
• Organize and maintain client files and documents.
• Scan, upload, and process client records.
• Assist with payroll, sales tax, and tax return preparation support.
• Prepare spreadsheets and basic accounting reports.
• Answer phones and provide administrative support as needed.
• Assist accountants and partners with special projects.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Completion of introductory accounting coursework preferred.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Professional attitude and willingness to learn.
• Ability to handle confidential information responsibly.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
