Accounting Manager
Location: Springfield, OR
Hawes Group manages Titanium Legal, VoizTrail, and RoboDx—fast-growing businesses in legal services, AI, and data automation. We are hiring an Accounting Manager to oversee multi-entity accounting, manage contractor onboarding and payments for Titanium Legal, and handle key administrative and HR functions. This is a hands-on role for someone who takes ownership, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and can run with tasks without constant direction.
Key Responsibilities
Accounting Management (Primary Focus)
- Manage full-cycle accounting for Hawes Group entities
- Handle AP, AR, bank and credit card reconciliations
- Execute month-end close (journal entries, accruals, prepaids, intercompany entries)
- Produce monthly P&Ls, balance sheets, and financial reports
- Track owner draws, intercompany loans, and distributions
- Coordinate with external CPA firms on taxes, 1099s, and year-end filings
- Maintain clean and well-organized ledgers across all companies
Titanium Legal Daily Accounting (Daily)
- Support Field Operations with process service onboarding (W-9s, agreements, ACH setup, required documents)
- Verify documentation and maintain updated contractor records
- Process weekly 1099 contractor payments
- Handle accounting questions from clients, process servers, vendors and courts
Administrative & HR Functions (Occasional)
- Manage new-hire onboarding and employee documentation
- Update payroll changes, track PTO, coordinate benefits
- Maintain compliance files and internal documentation
- Oversee office needs for the Springfield location (supplies, vendors, equipment)
- Assist leadership with administrative tasks as needed
Qualifications
- 5+ years of accounting experience (multi-entity preferred)
- Strong understanding of GAAP and month-end close
- Proficiency with various accounting software
- Strong Excel/Google Sheets skills (lookups, pivot tables, data validation, etc.)
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Able to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
- High level of integrity and ability to handle confidential information
- Preferred: Advanced accounting experience beyond bookkeeping (e.g., full close ownership, complex reconciliations, intercompany accounting)
- Preferred: Experience working with 1099 contractors or field-based workforce
