Accounting Manager

<Job Summary>
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to lead our financial operations and ensure the accuracy, compliance, and integrity of our accounting processes. In this pivotal role, you will oversee a team of accounting professionals, manage complex financial reporting, and implement best practices in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and regulatory standards. Your expertise will drive financial clarity, support strategic decision-making, and uphold the organization’s commitment to transparency and excellence in financial management.

<Duties>

  • Lead and mentor a team of accountants, fostering professional growth and ensuring high-quality performance across all accounting functions.
  • Oversee corporate accounting activities including general ledger management, journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.
  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely processing and accurate record-keeping.
  • Conduct balance sheet reconciliations, bank reconciliations, and ensure compliance with internal controls.
  • Prepare and interpret financial reports, including financial statements, cash flow analyses, and budget variance reports to support strategic planning.
  • Ensure regulatory reporting requirements are met accurately and promptly, including tax filings and other statutory obligations.
  • Oversee audit processes by coordinating with external auditors and ensuring compliance with securities law and governmental accounting standards.
  • Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, improve processes, optimize cash flow management, and support organizational growth initiatives.

<Qualifications>

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
  • Proven experience in corporate or public accounting with a strong understanding of financial concepts such as double entry bookkeeping, debits & credits, journal entries, and account analysis.
  • Extensive knowledge of GAAP standards.
  • Hands-on experience with financial software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero or PeopleSoft; proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential for data analysis and reporting.
  • Strong understanding of governmental accounting practices or non-profit accounting is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor teams effectively while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent analytical skills combined with the ability to interpret complex financial data into clear reports for stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of securities law or regulatory frameworks relevant to financial reporting is desirable but not mandatory. Join us to lead our finance team with energy and precision!
