Position Summary

The Accounting Manager is responsible for managing the daily accounting operations of the company, ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining internal controls, and supporting executive leadership with timely financial insights. This role will oversee accounts receivable, accounts payable, billing, and financial reconciliations while working closely with outside CPAs and financial advisors.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and capable of managing the financial operations of a growing company.

Key Responsibilities

Financial ManagemenRs

Maintain the company’s general ledger and ensure accuracy of financial records
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
Manage month-end and year-end closing processes
Perform bank, credit card, and account reconciliations
Assist leadership with financial reporting and analysis

Accounts Receivables

Oversee invoicing and customer billing processes
Monitor and manage accounts receivable aging
Coordinate collection efforts for past due accounts
Ensure accurate posting of payments and adjustments

Accounts Payable

Manage vendor payments and expense approvals
Review and process invoices
Maintain vendor relationships and ensure timely payments

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
3–7 years accounting experience
Experience managing full-cycle accounting
Strong knowledge of GAAP accounting principles)
Advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills
Strong organizational and analytical abilities

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working in a growing small to mid-size company
Experience with SaaS, recurring revenue, or subscription billing
CPA or CPA candidate preferred but not required
Experience working with external auditors or tax professionals

Compensation

Base Salary: $50,000
Bonus: Performance-based annual bonus
