Job Summary:
The Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing day-to-day and core accounting operations while leading a team of five accounting professionals. This role plays a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial reporting, drives the month-end close process, and maintains compliance with GAAP and internal controls.
Essential Functions:
- Lead and oversee the AP and AR functions, ensuring accuracy and efficiency
- Drive the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial statements
- Review balance sheet reconciliations and proactively identify and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
- Oversee and manage monthly commission calculations to ensure accuracy and alignment with compensation plans
- Manage sales tax compliance including filings and reconciliations
- Assists the Controller to develop, document, and enhance internal accounting policies and procedures
- Identify and implement opportunities to streamline processes, improve controls, and enhance reporting efficiency
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of 5 accounting professionals, providing ongoing coaching, performance, feedback, and professional development support
- Support external audits by responding to auditor inquiries and coordinating documentation
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance with 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a management role
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP (ASC 606, ASC842, ASC350-40)
- Experience working in a multi-entity and/or multi-subsidiary environment
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and consistently meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Experience motivating, developing, and directing the work of others
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify problems and formulate solutions
- Proficiency in NetSuite and Microsoft Office
- Ability to work with confidential information with discretion
- Clear and professional communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally across all levels of the organization

Pay: $120,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
