Job Overview
Material Handling Systems seeks a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Manager to oversee and enhance our accounting operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing efficient business workflows, establishing robust checks and balances, and fostering cross-departmental collaboration. Proficiency in NetSuite, QuickBooks, or similar ERP systems is essential. This role requires a proactive team player capable of analyzing pay rates, developing the accounting team, and continuously improving MHS processes.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Develop and Implement Workflows with accounting, sales, and management: Design and document clear processes delineating roles and responsibilities within the accounting department to ensure efficiency and accountability.
- Establish Checks and Balances: Implement internal controls to safeguard company assets, ensure accurate financial reporting, and maintain compliance with relevant regulations.
- Financial Oversight: Manage daily financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis, to support strategic decision-making.
- Team Development: Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to ensure cohesive financial management and support organizational objectives.
- ERP System Management: Utilize QuickBooks, NetSuite, or other ERP systems to maintain accurate financial records and generate reports.
- Compensation Analysis: Review and analyze pay rates to ensure internal equity and market competitiveness.
- Process Improvement: Continuously assess and enhance accounting processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
Must be a team player, willing to work with other departments to establish and improve work flow processes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Proven experience in accounting management, preferably in a manufacturing or construction environment.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, NetSuite, or other ERP systems.
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments and with all levels of the organization.
Preferred Qualifications:
- CPA or CMA certification
- Experience in process improvement methodologies.
- Familiarity with payroll systems and compensation analysis.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $102,460.00 per year
