Accounting Manager

Job Overview:
Rock'em is seeking an Accounting Manager! In this critical role, you will oversee the financial health of the organization, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and strategic insight across all accounting functions. You will play a key role in managing financial reporting, supporting business decisions, and maintaining strong internal controls. This position offers an exciting opportunity to lead accounting operations while contributing to the continued growth and success of the company.

What You Will Be Doing:

• Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance
• Manage the month-end and year-end close processes efficiently and accurately
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations and reporting requirements
• Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and improve financial processes
• Collaborate with leadership to support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning initiatives
• Coordinate with external auditors, tax professionals, and other financial partners as needed
• Analyze financial data and provide insights to support strategic decision-making

Preferred Skills:

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP) and financial reporting
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail in financial data and reporting
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong leadership and team management abilities
• Ability to handle confidential financial information with integrity
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (QuickBooks or similar)
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines
• Effective communication skills to present financial information clearly to leadership

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of accounting or finance experience (management experience preferred)
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent experience (CPA preferred but not required)
• Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills
• Ability to maintain accuracy while working in a fast-paced environment
• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
