Accounting Manager

Accounting Manager | High-Growth Manufacturing Environment

We are seeking a hands-on, results-driven Accounting Manager to lead accounting operations for a respected manufacturing company, reporting directly to the CFO and located just outside of Dayton, Ohio, This is an excellent opportunity for a strong accounting leader who enjoys ownership, process improvement, and partnering with leadership to drive results. This role offers strong potential for advancement as the company continues to grow.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead all general ledger activity, monthly close, reconciliations, accruals, and financial reporting.
• Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Oversee Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and working capital performance.
• Ensure proper accounting for inventory, manufacturing costs, and related balance sheet accounts.
• Maintain compliance with US GAAP, internal controls, and audit requirements.
• Improve accounting processes, ERP workflows, and reporting efficiency.
• Lead, mentor, and develop accounting staff while fostering accountability and teamwork.
• Partner with operations and leadership to support business decisions and growth initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• Progressive accounting leadership experience with ownership of close and GL functions.
• Manufacturing experience strongly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP, controls, and financial reporting.
• Advanced Excel skills; ERP experience preferred.
• Ability to work in office, Monday- Friday.
