Accounting Manager — Close & Reporting

About the role

We're looking for a detail-oriented, highly motivated accounting professional to join our finance team and drive the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close process. You'll lead a small accounting team, enforce US GAAP standards, partner with external auditors, and champion process improvements that reduce close time without sacrificing accuracy.

What you'll do

• Manage and lead the full monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting close cycle.
• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations and ensure adherence to internal controls.
• Review key reconciliations, journal entries, general ledger roll-forwards, and account reconciliations.
• Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with US GAAP and global accounting policies.
• Perform and document analytical review of monthly results, including detailed variance analysis and follow-up.
• Maintain documented procedures for reviewing account fluctuations and tracking resolution.
• Coordinate and respond to quarterly and annual internal and external audit requests; serve as the primary liaison with external auditors.
• Identify and implement process improvements and automation to shorten close timelines while maintaining accuracy.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to surface opportunities for improvement and resolve accounting issues.

What you'll bring

Required

• 5+ years of accounting experience at a Big 4 firm and/or a publicly traded company.
• Proven leadership of accounting close activities (monthly, quarterly, annual).
• Deep knowledge of US GAAP and the ability to apply it to complex financial scenarios.
• Advanced Excel skills, including the ability to build and validate complex calculations manually without relying solely on automated outputs.
• Strong problem-solving and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced environment.

Strongly preferred

• Active CPA certification (highly preferred — will be screened early in the process).
• Experience with NetSuite (intermediate to advanced).
• Experience with BlackLine or a comparable close/reconciliation platform.
• Background in the technology or SaaS industry.
