M. Solomon Casket Company is a family owned and operated business based in Cranston, RI since 1908 with 6 locations from Pennsylvania to Maine. We provide a variety of products to funeral homes across the region. Our business is rooted in the tenets of excellent customer service, superior products and reliability.

We are seeking a hands-on Accounting Manager to oversee core financial operations and support the day-to-day needs of a growing small business. This role is intentionally broad and will evolve based on the individual and level of ownership demonstrated. This role will report directly to and work daily with the company owners.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily accounting functions (AP/AR, general ledger, payments)
• Support cash visibility and monthly close (reconciliations, financials)
• Maintain accurate financial records across entities
• Provide timely financial insight to ownership
• Coordinate with external CPA on tax and year-end matters
• Maintain and improve accounting processes and controls
• Support payroll, benefits, and administrative needs as needed
• Work cross-functionally to ensure accurate flow of financial information

Requirements

• 5-10+ years of accounting experience
• Experience with core accounting functions
• Proficiency in Excel, Google Suite and accounting systems
• Small business or multi-entity experience is a plus

Schedule & Benefits

• Monday–Friday, 7:30am–4:00pm

Pay: $65,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
