Accounting Manager - Korean Bilingual Preferred

The Accounting Manager will oversee and manage all aspects of the company’s accounting operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely financial reporting. This position will be responsible for supervising accounting staff, managing the general ledger, preparing financial statements, and overseeing budgeting and forecasting activities. The Accounting Manager will ensure that all financial transactions are recorded correctly, manage internal controls, and collaborate closely with other departments to support financial decision-making. Additionally, they will ensure adherence to accounting principles, regulatory standards, and company policies, while also playing a key role in supporting the monthly and annual closing processes.

Principle Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage the daily operations of the accounting department, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
  • Supervise and mentor accounting staff, providing guidance and training to ensure professional growth and development.
  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in reporting.
  • Manage the general ledger, ensuring proper accounting treatment and reconciliation of all accounts.
  • Lead the monthly and year-end closing processes, ensuring all financial data is complete, accurate, and in accordance with deadlines.
  • Develop and manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes to support business goals.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations as well as internal financial policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate and support internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and responding to inquiries.
  • Monitor and improve internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the integrity of financial reporting.
  • Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and support strategic decision-making.
  • Stay updated on changes in accounting regulations and best practices, applying them to improve processes and ensure compliance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business with a concentration in Accounting; CPA preferred.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience working as an Accounting Manager preferred
  • Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy; ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively across all levels of the organization.
  • Proficient in using QuickBooks or ERP accounting systems
  • Advanced competency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision, taking initiative and being proactive.
  • Solid understanding of GAAP and IFRS accounting standards and their application in financial reporting.
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion and integrity.

Physical Requirements

Work is considered low physical work in an office and production setting, requiring the exertion of 50 pounds of force occasionally, up to 25 pounds of force frequently, and up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Must possess strength, stamina, and mobility to perform low physical work indoors with minimum exposure to dust.

Must be able to:

  • Walk, lift, reach, stoop, stand, grasp, balance, climb, kneel, and crouch for extended periods of time.
  • Regularly required to sit, stand, use hands to handle objects and reach with hands and arms.
  • Will spend long hours sitting and using office equipment and computers or standing for hours at a time.
  • Some lifting of supplies and materials from time to time.
  • Demonstrate the ability to hear and have specific vision abilities to adjust focus, in an environment subject to noise, dust, etc.
  • Perform all work safely in a fast-paced work environment.
  • The incumbent will be based in a quiet office environment and will frequently interact with colleagues and handle phone communications.
