Accounting Office Manager

RecycleMax is a Detroit-based environmental services and recycling management company serving customers across North America. Alongside our affiliated company, PeopleMovers, we are building innovative systems focused on sustainability, collaboration, and organizational growth.

We are seeking a highly organized and dependable Accounting & Office Manager to help manage the financial, administrative, and HR functions of our growing companies.

Position Overview

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys combining accounting, office management, HR coordination, and administrative leadership into one dynamic position. You will work closely with company leadership and play an important role in helping organize and support the day-to-day financial and administrative operations of the business.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, professional, and comfortable handling multiple responsibilities in a growing entrepreneurial environment.

Key ResponsibilitiesAccounting & Financial Administration

  • Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable functions
  • Process invoices, payments, reconciliations, and financial records
  • Track vendor payments and resolve billing discrepancies
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and miscellaneous financial reports
  • Maintain accurate accounting records and documentation
  • Assist with financial analysis, reporting, and forecasting
  • Support audits and identify opportunities for process improvement and cost savings

Office Administration

  • Manage day-to-day office administration and support services
  • Maintain company records, files, and organizational systems
  • Coordinate office needs, supplies, and vendor relationships
  • Provide administrative support to leadership and staff

Human Resources & Payroll

  • Assist with payroll administration and employee records
  • Help manage HR documentation and onboarding processes
  • Support development and implementation of company policies and procedures
  • Coordinate basic employee benefits and related administration

Qualifications

  • Experience in accounting, bookkeeping, office management, or administrative management
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and accounting software
  • QuickBooks experience preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
