Summary

We are seeking a Purchasing Specialist to join our team at Nu Vu Glass, Inc. This role is essential for managing procurement processes and ensuring that our operations run smoothly. The Purchasing Specialist will play a key role in maintaining our supply chain efficiency and supporting our diverse product offerings.

Responsibilities

  • Process and manage accounts payable, including invoice entry, purchase order matching, and payment processing
  • Negotiate pricing and terms with vendors and suppliers
  • Issue purchase orders and maintain accurate purchasing records
  • Monitor deliveries and coordinate with internal departments to ensure timely receipt of goods
  • Manage vendor relationships and resolve billing issues
  • Maintain and reconcile financial records using QuickBooks
  • Research and resolve financial and data discrepancies quickly and accurately
  • Assist with monthly financial reports and general ledger reconciliation
  • Track expenses, prepare documentation, and ensure compliance with internal policies
  • Support the accounting team with special projects and reporting as needed

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in accounts payable, purchasing, or accounting roles
  • Proficient in QuickBooks Desktop and/or QuickBooks Online
  • Strong financial background with experience in invoice processing and reconciliation
  • Excellent negotiation, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and dive into details to resolve issues
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and standard office software
  • High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
  • Strong financial acumen with the ability to analyze costs and negotiate effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills for vendor interactions and internal collaboration.
  • Familiarity with inventory management systems and procurement software is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Job Type: Full-time
