Schedule: Hybrid – onsite three (3) days per week/ remote two (2) days per week after training is complete

About the Role

Second Round is seeking an Accounting Representative I to join our Accounting & Administration team. This entry‑level role provides day‑to‑day support for routine accounting and administrative tasks, including data entry, document organization, and payment processing.

This position is well‑suited for individuals who are detail‑oriented, organized, and interested in beginning a career in accounting. The Accounting Representative I works closely with the accounting team in a structured, team‑oriented environment, and training will be provided.

Key Responsibilities

  • Post consumer payments in the payment database (Ecollect) and/or general ledger (QuickBooks).
  • Assist Accounts Payable with issuing checks and reconciling expense accounts.
  • Track office supply and meal expenses.
  • Open, scan, organize, and file incoming mail and accounting documents.
  • Assist with gathering documentation and signatures for affidavits and ensure timely mailing.
  • Organize receipts and supporting documentation for accounting transactions in QuickBooks.
  • Collect and enter monthly AMEX credit card transactions.
  • Support payment reconciliations between systems, such as Ecollect and QuickBooks.
  • Assist with maintaining and updating accounting procedures and work instructions as needed.
  • Support the accounting team with document requests for audits or reviews.
  • Assist with routine compliance tasks, including W‑9 collection and filing support.
  • Provide general administrative and front desk support as needed.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Prior accounting experience not required; coursework in accounting, business, or finance is a plus
  • 0–1 years of relevant office experience preferred; accounts payable or bookkeeping experience is a plus
  • Basic computer skills, including comfort with email and spreadsheets
  • Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
  • Reliable, organized, and able to follow established procedures
  • Positive attitude and ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States. Second Round is unable to sponsor employment visas now or in the future.

Work Environment

· This role is primarily performed in an office setting and involves prolonged periods of sitting and working at a computer.

· Occasional schedule adjustments may be required to support mail processing, time‑sensitive payment posting, or front desk coverage.

· This position handles sensitive financial and personal information and is expected to follow company confidentiality, information security, and record retention requirements.

Work Location

This is a hybrid position based in our Austin, TX office, requiring onsite work three days per week and remote work two days per week.
