Position Description
The primary role of the Accounting Software Support Representative is to provide accounting software support to our customers via telephone, online chat, email and live remote sessions:
- Represent Applied Computer Systems, Inc. in facilitating timely resolution of a variety of customer service requests
(i.e. software problems, How To questions, training, setup assistance and light technical issues).
- Provide response to customer questions and clarification about the customary use of JOBPOWER software programs
- Take the lead to address and resolve other Customer requests as needed
- Maintain detailed case notes in our customer support database. (Sugar CRM)
Duties and Responsibilities - Primary
- Respond to customer case assignments.
- Provide accounting support to clients by identifying and solving software related issues.
- Document findings and resolutions accordingly into or CRM system and to the customer.
- Work with internal programmers to resolve product defects.
- Recommend software improvements and identify new operating practices.
- Provide assistance as needed to restore/maintain data integrity.
- Maintain Product Knowledge – Stay abreast of new features in the software and continue to learn additional modules.
- Assorted duties as assigned to include but not limited to: Training and Product Research to include Product Design and Testing.
Skills/Knowledge
Required:
- Good understanding and experience with basic accounting and financial reporting.
- General Accounting Principles
- Balance Sheet and Operating Statement Principals
- General Ledger and Sub-Ledger Associations
- Good understanding and experience with core business processes
- Accounts Payable
- Accounts Receivable
- General Ledger/Bank Reconciliations
- Proficiency in using MS Office Products (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams).
- Strong discovery/Analytical skills
- Excellent Communications skills with:
- Customers
- Peers/Technicians
Preferred:
- Recent experience in the Construction Industry
- Job costing
- Payroll – Job Labor Distribution
- Purchase Orders, Subcontracts, Change Orders
- Construction Billing (AIA, Unitary, T&M)
- Good understanding of Cost Accounting conventions and techniques
Compensation:
- This is a full-time salaried position and qualifies for Applied Computer Systems standard benefit plan including flex benefits, health, dental, vision and 401K. Starting salary is dependent on the candidate’s qualifications and experience. Hours are from 9:00 am – 5:30 pm EST. Ability to periodically work flexible hours as needed (i.e. customer crisis resolution/scheduled after-hours assignments).
