Accounting Specialist

We are looking for a nice and skilled accounting specialist for our team in Dubai to assist our accounting manager in daily tasks such as managing payroll, accounts receivable and payable, reconciliations, financial analysis, and VAT/taxes. The ideal candidate has a background in accounting or finance, preferably from the maritime or logistics industry.

Key responsibilities:

• Preparation of annual financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Reconcile bank statements, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
• Prepare and process invoices, bills, and expense reports for payment or reimbursement.
• Prepare tax returns and compliance filings.
• Conduct account and financial analysis, investigating variances and discrepancies.
• Assist the accounting manager on daily administrative and financial tasks.
• Process finance related requests from the operations team and costumers.

About you:

• You have a minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably from the shipping or logistics industry.
• You have completed an education in finance, economics, accounting, or similar area.
• You are advanced in excel and have a strong command of office tools.
• You have strong organisational skills, are proactive, and pay attention to detail.
• You are fluent in English, both verbally and in writing (minimum B2).
