Accounting Specialist

Role Overview

Fusion Enterprises is seeking a driven and adaptable accounting professional to support one of our growing manufacturing sites serving the nuclear and defense industries. This onsite role offers the opportunity to make a direct impact within a fast-paced operation while working closely with both local leadership and the broader Fusion Enterprises finance team.

We are looking for a go-getter who enjoys taking ownership, improving processes, and helping support a growing business environment with increasing operational and accounting demands. The right candidate will be comfortable balancing high-level accounting responsibilities with day-to-day operational support and office coordination.

This role will support core accounting functions including accounts receivable, accounts payable, bank reconciliations, audit support, ERP system processes, and cross-functional collaboration. The position also requires someone willing to step in where needed, including handling phones and supporting general office operations.

Responsibilities

  • Manage accounts receivable processes, collections, and customer communication
  • Support accounts payable processing and vendor management
  • Perform monthly bank reconciliations and assist with month-end close activities
  • Assist with year-end audit preparation and supporting schedules
  • Work closely with the broader Fusion Enterprises accounting and finance team
  • Identify opportunities to improve accounting and operational processes
  • Support ERP system usage and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Handle basic office management responsibilities, including answering phones and supporting visitors
  • Assist with reporting, documentation, and other accounting or administrative projects as needed
  • Help support increased accounting and operational demands tied to future business growth and large-volume sales opportunities


Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Experience working within an ERP system environment
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Self-starter mentality with a willingness to take ownership

Preferred

  • Manufacturing accounting experience
  • Experience with Global Shop Solutions
  • Experience with accounts receivable management and collections
  • Experience supporting audits and month-end close processes
