Our Bellevue, WA client, a privately held family office that manages investments, real estate, and affiliated business interests, is seeking an Accounting Specialist to join its team.
GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
The Recruiting Specialist serves as the primary point of contact for vendors, employees, tenants, and visitors at our Family Office Building. This role bridges front-office hospitality and back-office accounting by ensuring a professional, welcoming office environment while supporting the accounting department through accounts payable, bookkeeping, general ledger maintenance, and administrative functions.
RESPONSIBILITIES:

Process and verify vendor invoices, ensuring all payments are accurately coded and properly authorized

Manage the full accounts payable cycle and process payments in a timely manner

Perform daily data entry into the accounting system

Assist with bank reconciliations and month-end close activities

Support general ledger maintenance and other accounting projects as needed

Manage front-desk operations and serve as the primary point of contact for vendors, employees, tenants, and visitors

Coordinate office supplies, deliveries, and incoming/outgoing mail

Maintain an organized and welcoming reception area and provide a warm, professional experience for all guests

Answer and direct calls through a multi-line phone system and respond to inquiries

Resolve vendor billing discrepancies and coordinate with internal and external partners

Maintain digital and physical filing systems and ensure financial and administrative records are organized and audit-ready

Identify opportunities to improve office and accounting processes and support administrative initiatives
QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field preferred

Minimum of 2 years of clerical or administrative experience, including at least 1 year involving bookkeeping or accounting responsibilities

Experience with accounts payable and general accounting functions preferred

Punctual, dependable, and service-oriented

Sound judgment with the ability to prioritize competing demands and manage time effectively

Strong attention to detail, organizational, and communication skills

Ability to multitask and work effectively in a dynamic environment

Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively

Proficiency with Microsoft Office, SharePoint, Teams, and general technology solutions

Pay: $70,000 – $80,000
