Accounting Specialist

Our Bellevue, WA client, a privately held family office that manages investments, real estate, and affiliated business interests, is seeking an Accounting Specialist to join its team.


GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

The Recruiting Specialist serves as the primary point of contact for vendors, employees, tenants, and visitors at our Family Office Building. This role bridges front-office hospitality and back-office accounting by ensuring a professional, welcoming office environment while supporting the accounting department through accounts payable, bookkeeping, general ledger maintenance, and administrative functions.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Process and verify vendor invoices, ensuring all payments are accurately coded and properly authorized
  • Manage the full accounts payable cycle and process payments in a timely manner
  • Perform daily data entry into the accounting system
  • Assist with bank reconciliations and month-end close activities
  • Support general ledger maintenance and other accounting projects as needed
  • Manage front-desk operations and serve as the primary point of contact for vendors, employees, tenants, and visitors
  • Coordinate office supplies, deliveries, and incoming/outgoing mail
  • Maintain an organized and welcoming reception area and provide a warm, professional experience for all guests
  • Answer and direct calls through a multi-line phone system and respond to inquiries
  • Resolve vendor billing discrepancies and coordinate with internal and external partners
  • Maintain digital and physical filing systems and ensure financial and administrative records are organized and audit-ready
  • Identify opportunities to improve office and accounting processes and support administrative initiatives


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years of clerical or administrative experience, including at least 1 year involving bookkeeping or accounting responsibilities
  • Experience with accounts payable and general accounting functions preferred
  • Punctual, dependable, and service-oriented
  • Sound judgment with the ability to prioritize competing demands and manage time effectively
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and work effectively in a dynamic environment
  • Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, SharePoint, Teams, and general technology solutions
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds


BENEFITS:

  • Pay: $70,000 – $80,000
