Overview
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Accounting Supervisor to lead our financial operations with precision and integrity. This pivotal role offers the opportunity to oversee a broad spectrum of accounting functions, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and supporting the church and school’s mission through accurate financial management. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical accounting skills and experience with nonprofits .

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily accounting activities, including general ledger reconciliation, journal entries, accounts payable and receivable processing, and bank reconciliations.
• Oversee financial reporting processes, ensuring accurate preparation of financial statements in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
• Lead month-end and year-end closing procedures, ensuring timely and accurate financial data.
• Conduct detailed financial analysis, cash flow forecasting, and budget variance analysis to support strategic decision-making.
• Ensure adherence to all relevant securities law, tax regulations, and nonprofit accounting standards while maintaining high standards of accuracy in financial report writing and interpretation.

Requirements

• Proven experience in corporate accounting with a strong foundation in technical accounting concepts such as double entry bookkeeping, debits & credits, and accrual accounting.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, SEC regulations, and financial software such as Fast Fund.
• Experience with balance sheet reconciliation, account reconciliation, and general ledger management.
• Excellent analytical skills with a solid understanding of financial concepts including budgeting, forecasting, cash flow analysis, and financial statement preparation.
• Familiarity with auditing processes and internal controls is preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; CPA certification is a plus.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel

Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25.0 – 30.0 per week
