The Opportunity

We’re looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Team Lead to join our growing bookkeeping services team. This is a critical role where you’ll guide a group of Account Specialists to deliver timely, accurate, and complete financial services to our clients. If you thrive in a fast-paced, remote environment and enjoy mentoring others while managing your own client portfolio, this is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact. This position will focus on providing monthly bookkeeping services for clients.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead a team of Account Specialists, ensuring timely and accurate completion of client services.
  • Perform bookkeeping and related services for your own assigned clients.
  • Conduct spot audits and monthly reviews of client QuickBooks files and financial statements.
  • Monitor task completion across services such as weekly updates, suspense emails, month-end close, sales tax filings, payroll submissions, cash reconciliations, bill entry, and receipt attachments.
  • Provide ongoing training and support to Account Specialists.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, including document storage and task tracking.
  • Drive team efficiency and excellence through proactive leadership and coaching.
  • Approve timecards and manage time-off requests for your team.
  • Coordinate coverage for team members during PTO, training, or other absences.
  • Conduct bi-annual performance reviews for Account Specialists.
  • Submit weekly status reports to your supervisor on team progress and goals.
  • Execute core client services including:
  • Bookkeeping in QuickBooks Desktop, QuickBooks Online, and other platforms.
  • Client support and communication.
  • Payroll administration.
  • Data collection, archiving, and documentation.

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience in bookkeeping and financial operations, preferably within a franchise or multi-client environment.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Commitment to accuracy, timeliness, and client satisfaction.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote setting with a reliable wired internet connection and professional workspace.
  • Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Experience with performance reviews and team development is a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
