Lewis-Palmer School District 38 is looking for a full time Accounting Technician to join the Finance Department. Under general supervision, candidates will perform the processing of check requests, invoice payments, and maintain computerized accounts. This position will record and compile financial data, update and maintain vendor files, and assist in annual 1099 reporting. Candidate will perform detailed data entry of payments, including direct pay, payment requests, mileage and POs, and also share general office responsibilities of greeting visitors, organizing mail, and answering the phone. High School diploma or equivalent is required, with a minimum of two years of specialized business, technical or vocational training in a related field at a college or university. A minimum of three years of experience working in an accounting or related field, preferably two recent years of experience in an accounts payable capacity is preferred. Proficiency in computer software including spreadsheets, word processing, and email, along with Microsoft products is also preferred. Previous experience in a school district or county office of education is preferred.
The starting salary range for this position is $23.77 - $25.69. This is a full time position that is eligible for benefits, and will work a 261 day calendar.
