- Maintain complete and accurate financial records and general ledgers
- Record day-to-day financial transactions, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments
- Post journal entries and reconcile accounts
- Prepare trial balances, balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
- Calculate, prepare, and issue invoices, bills, and statements
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Perform bank and credit card reconciliations
- Maintain payroll records and process payroll transactions
- Prepare and file GST/HST, VAT, and other statutory returns
- Maintain organized financial records for audit and compliance purposes
- Assist in preparing financial statements and management reports
- Analyze accounting records and ensure accuracy and compliance
- Prepare and review journal entries and adjusting entries
- Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Maintain fixed asset records and depreciation schedules
- Support internal and external audits by providing documentation
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax laws, and company policies
- Use accounting software to generate reports and financial summaries.
